Researchers Dr. Krištof Debeljak and Anže Štepec introduced the residents of the Novo mesto Senior Citizens' Home to an innovative virtual reality experience using the Virtual Walk app. This technology allows users to explore different environments through virtual reality.
The primary objective was to assess how well the Virtual Walk app meets the needs of elderly users and to ensure that it can be managed effectively by staff.
Residents donned VR goggles and used a joystick to navigate through selected environments in Google Street View.
