Invitation to an expert consultation: The status of citizen science and its place in the framework of funding for scientific research
The Public Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia is organising an expert consultation entitled "The position of citizen science and its place in the framework of funding for scientific research" on Monday, 18 December 2023, at 10:00.
The panel will include representatives of the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, a citizen science ambassador and members of project teams of research organisations that already include citizen science elements in their work.
Recently enacted national legislation on open science provides for the promotion of citizen science in publicly funded research.
The aim of the Expert Consultation is for ARIS, together with expert stakeholders already working in the field of citizen science, to outline guidelines for the effective involvement of the wider community in scientific research.
