On Thursday, 16 May, a presentation entitled "eGeologija - Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Geological Survey of Slovenia" will be organised via the Zoom platform at 10.30 a.m. as part of the SPOZNAJ project.
The lecture will be given by Jasna Šinigoj, Head of the Geological Information Centre GeoZS. The egeologija.si portal provides quick access to a comprehensive set of high-quality geological data.
Lecture content:
GeoZS follows the principles of one-stop accessibility of spatial information and services. The eGeologija portal (egeologija.si) provides fast access to a large set of quality geological data in the form of modern e-services. This is made possible by the existing GeoZS spatial data infrastructure, which covers technical standards and protocols as well as organisational and data policy issues, including a data management plan. GeoZS follows global technological trends and continuously improves and upgrades its IT infrastructure, applications, services and, above all, knowledge. It follows the INSPIRE Directive and the FAIR principles.
