As part of the finalisation of the SadjAR: Augmented Reality in Orchard and Vegetable Production project, we have produced a demonstration video showing how an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) application works. Rudolfovo, in collaboration with its partners, has developed an application that allows farmers to have a direct video call with an experienced agricultural advisor. Through the AR glasses, the farmer can perform various tasks hands-free, following detailed instructions from the advisor, who marks specific parts and adds comments to the footage.
The app facilitates access to educational content that farmers often search for online, such as instructions on how to maintain farm machinery, pruning techniques for fruit trees and tips on animal care. With the help of AR glasses, the farmer can practically use both hands to do the work while viewing this content, improving efficiency and productivity.
The SadjAR project is a collaboration between the Slokva Institute, Rudolfovo - Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto, Karlovček Farm, Radej Fruit Farm, Kastelic Farm, Judež Farm, Omerzel Farm, Grmom - Higher School of Rural Management Novo mesto and Solos d. o. o.
Duration of the project: from 11.12.2023 to 14.12.2024
