26 partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Austria, Turkey, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Serbia.

Project type: Research and Development project

Brief description of the project:

The aim of the AI4VET4AI project is to create a transnational European platform of excellence in Vocational Education and Training (VET) to help overcome the current skills shortage related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). This will encourage VET providers to recognise and take their share of the effort to develop and implement AI solutions.

The consortium consists of VET providers, research institutions and AI companies. Together, we will identify gaps in AI-related skills, particularly in the sectors of healthcare, tourism, agriculture, business management and smart city planning.

On this basis, we will create 10 crowdsourced open online courses for vocational students and adults learning on the job. We will provide support to VET teachers and trainers in the form of learning materials for teacher training. We will set up 8 AI VET campuses and 7 VET Innovation Incubators to teach students and adults how to use AI to solve problems.

In total, more than 1,000 people will attend our programmes. In 2018, the European Union vowed to become a world leader in the development and deployment of cutting-edge, ethical and safe artificial intelligence. Our project will take us one step closer to this goal.
