Centre for Technology Transfer and Intellectual
Property
At the Centre for Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property, we research and develop methods, processes and prerequisites for transferring technological knowledge into the business environment, as well as the synergistic effects of multidisciplinary efforts, and explore processes and tools for intellectual property. Our efforts are also focused on increasing understanding of the dispersion and adoption of new technologies within innovation systems and understanding the relationship between intellectual property and other approaches such as open science.
We are also particularly focused on understanding and strengthening the role of intellectual property and technology transfer in new societal transitions, such as digitalisation and the circular economy, thereby strengthening the cooperation between centres.
We have the skills to create strategies for bringing new technologies into companies and work with top patent and other innovation databases to provide insights into innovation trends and partnerships. Our aim is also to strengthen the management and understanding of intellectual property, promote networking and cooperation between public research organisations and the corporate sector, and enhance the competences of researchers and organisations in the management and exploitation of intellectual property and technology transfer.
